Since graduating from
Macalester College (St. Paul, Minnesota, Class of 1983) and Washington
University School of Law (St. Louis, Missouri, Class of 1986), the
next fourteen years have been spent successfully defending adults
and juveniles accused of crimes at the trial and appellate levels.
This is the only area of law I engage in, allowing me to maximize
my ability to bring your case to a successful conclusion even if
it means taking your case to the Wisconsin Supreme Court where I
have argued and won. Fourteen years of focusing on one area has
provided me with the ability to ensure your understanding of the
legal process every step of the way. This maximizes your ability
to provide input and assistance at each critical juncture. I learned
early on that success is a team function. A team consisting not
only of attorney and client, but investigators and other professionals
with whom I work to assist in successfully representing clients.

Should you need legal
representation . . .

The criminal
justice system can be a mystifying process to those who are not
familiar with its procedures. I take the time to make sure my clients
fully understand how the system works so that they can participate
in their defense. To further support their defense, I have developed
a network of investigators, forensic specialists, and expert witnesses
representing a variety of subject fields.
